Halbis Capital Management was the Asia-based active equity and fixed income asset management arm of HSBC Global Asset Management, operating as a distinct investment boutique brand. Licensed across a broad range of SFC activities including dealing, advisory, and asset management, it managed institutional mandates and funds with a focus on Asian and global emerging market equities. The Halbis brand was eventually retired and reintegrated into the broader HSBC Global Asset Management platform as part of a global restructuring. With no active licensed persons remaining, the entity has ceased independent operations in Hong Kong.
